Instructors/Lifeguards

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Outdoor Pool is looking to add casual part time to full time Instructor/Guards to our Canlan team that will strive for the best, push each other to promote safety, and enhance the community of Armstrong through quality supervision, energetic attitudes, and strong leadership. Application is open until April 12^th.

National Lifeguard (NL)- Recent up to 2 years

Swim Instructor (SI) - Recent up to 2 years

Airway Management and Oxygen Administration (AMOA)

Standard First Aid Recent up to 3 years

CPR-C & AED- Recent up to 3 years.

One or more years’ experience.

Duties:

• Maintain a high level of physical fitness to ensure Lifesaving Society Standards are met at all times.
• Perform rescues up to Lifesaving Society Standards.
• Stay up to date on all First Aid and NL procedures.
• Work to ensure that the facility is up to health standards at all time.
• Deliver thorough safety supervision at all times.
• Communicate efficiently to all other employees.
• Communicate efficiently to the public through PR skills.
• Deliver First Aid according to certification held.
• Provide quality instruction and supervision to all ages, 0-99, of swimmers through lessons and safety supervision.
• Run active and wet lessons to Lifesaving Society standards to all levels assigned.
• Willingly deliver all aspects of lessons to parents and swimmers as outlined by the Aquatic Supervisor.
• Thoroughly understand and teach beginning lifesaving skills to all patrons.
• Attend all in-services and any extra training required.
• Show competency and ensure personal safety while using a variety of deck & change room cleaning supplies.

Hours & Pay rate:

Pay Rate

$19.00-$19.50/hour.

Hours

Casual part to full time. Includes days, evenings, weekends.

Aquatic Supervisor, Deck Leaders
