Canlan is currently looking for a People and Culture Coordinator!

Job Summary

The People and Culture Coordinator plays a pivotal role and will be at the forefront of our recruitment efforts and employee record management. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the recruitment process for roles up to the manager level from start to finish, including sourcing and attracting candidates, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process. You'll play a crucial role in building a strong pipeline of talented individuals while ensuring a seamless and positive experience for new hires. Additionally, you'll be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of our onboarding process by measuring employees’ success and satisfaction after their first 90 days.

Accountabilities

The role has primary responsibilities in the areas of recruitment systems, support, and development:

  • Assisting in implementing talent acquisition strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Using ADP for new employee onboarding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to define talent needs and improve administrative processes.
  • Managing and optimizing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to enhance hiring efficiency.
  • Providing administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensuring adherence to legal requirements and company policies in recruitment and employee record-keeping.

Abilities, Attributes and Experience

  • 1 – 3 years previous experience in similar areas of responsibility
  • Business diploma or degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with ADP or similar HR software for onboarding and employee records.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities
  • Professional demeanour with a high level of integrity
  • Proactive attitude with ability to work under pressure
  • Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Good administrative, organizational, planning and follow up skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure
